Last verified: 2025-08-28

---------- Scope ----------
This package provides Windows drivers for the PLANET WTL-5800BE (Wi-Fi 7, Intel® BE200NGW):
• Wi-Fi (WLAN): WiFi-23.160.0-Driver64-Win10-Win11.exe
• Bluetooth®: BT-23.160.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11.exe
Supported OS: Windows® 11 / Windows® 10 (64-bit)

---------- Note ----------
6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E/7) typically requires Windows 11, a 6 GHz-capable AP, and local regulatory allowance.

---------- Before you begin ----------
• Install the adapter and both external antennas
• Connect the internal USB cable to the motherboard header (needed for Bluetooth)
• Save your work; close Wi-Fi/BT apps; admin rights recommended

---------- Installation (order: Wi-Fi → Bluetooth) ----------

Wi-Fi

Run WiFi-23.160.0-Driver64-Win10-Win11.exe and follow the wizard.

Reboot when prompted.

Bluetooth

Run BT-23.160.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11.exe and complete setup.

Reboot again to finish.

---------- Verify installation ----------
• Device Manager → Network adapters: “Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200” (name may vary)
• Device Manager → Bluetooth: “Intel® Wireless Bluetooth®”
• Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Hardware properties (check driver versions)
• On Windows 11 with a 6 GHz AP, 6 GHz SSIDs should be visible (subject to region)

---------- Notes & tips ----------
• Windows 10 feature support is limited; 6 GHz is generally unavailable on Win10.
• Keep Windows Update current (WPA3/6 GHz behavior depends on OS build, region, and AP).
• If Bluetooth is missing, re-check the internal USB cable and reinstall the BT package.

---------- Uninstall / Clean install ----------
• Remove “Intel® Wireless Bluetooth®” and any “Intel® PROSet/Wireless” from Apps/Programs.
• Device Manager → Intel Wi-Fi adapter → Uninstall device → (optional) Delete the driver software.
• Reboot and reinstall in the order above.

---------- Linux (information only) ----------
• Wi-Fi driver: kernel-built iwlwifi with firmware from your distribution’s linux-firmware package.
• Bluetooth: btusb/BlueZ from your distribution.
• Recommendation: update to the distro’s latest stable kernel and linux-firmware.

---------- Support ----------
Please provide OS version, driver versions (Wi-Fi/BT), and AP model when contacting support.
